The installation crew didn't check to make sure they had connected power correctly. The furnace went out less than 30 minutes after it was installed, and that is when Peterman got extremely problematic - not wanting to send people out for multiple days, initially saying that nobody could come out for 4 days. Once they agreed to send someone the second day (after arguing with me for 45+ minutes) they then cancelled without telling me, and acted confused when I called and was upset that nobody showed up to the appointment.
My youngest son woke me up worried about how cold his bedroom got, and there was nothing I could do except give him extra blankets, because Peterman brothers couldn't be bothered to fix their mistake in a reasonable time frame.

The technician that came to my house for the repair was friendly and knowledgeable. We first went over my electrical system and moved on to the specific problem. There were options to the repair, and he informed me of the pluses and minuses of each. I chose the one that took less time and material, but still confident that it was a good fix. After the repair the circuit was tested and everything was back to operation. If I need electrical services in the future, I will call Peterman and request ******.

We have used Petermann Brothers for a number of years. They always give great service, and have very friendly servicemen. We had them come to clear a clog in our drain, and also to replace our garbage disposal. The person who came to do the work was very friendly, respected our home, and was great with our dog. The price for any of this kind of work is always very high, but theirs doesn't seem as bad as many. I am happy with the work that they did, for the price that they charged. And it's always nice that when they come to do the work

Fantastic experience! A toilet on our main floor started leaking into our basement - we sent a message around 10pm and they were able to come out the next day. Thankfully it was an easy fix and the tech was able to fix it same day. The tech, Donald, was courteous and professional. He answered all my questions and even had time to look at a few other things in our house (and provided quotes for those items). I really appreciated the quotes and he was never pushy or aggressive in trying to up-sell me on anything. I recommend Peterman Brothers and will absolutely call them again if/when needed.

The ONLY issue I have with the Peterman Brothers is their call center staff. I talked to 2 different people who were rude and uncaring. They made me feel like a bother and weren't helpful. Too bad they don't know how to treat people with kindness and compassion as the technicians do. Certainly, they don't fit with the commercials advertising the company. Sounds like they need more training on compassion.

Sometimes, when you're making a major purchase/repair, it's almost like throwing a dart at a dartboard and hoping it hits the right place :)
We checked several places, and all the prices on new furnaces were pretty similar. Some a few bucks more, some a few less, but all right in the ballpark.
We chose Peterman based on the salesperson who visited our house to give us the price. He was friendly and professional, and never made us feel pressured to buy. He simply laid out our options/prices, and basically said "If you need, us, call us". We appreciated that he didn't pressure us to make an on the spot decision for something that would cost several thousand dollars.
Installation day--our installers, Justin and Daniel arrived on time and got right to work. We have an older house, and they ran into a couple of snags, but handled it like true pros. They were friendly yet professional, and kept us appraised of their progress throughout the day.
Once the furnace was installed, tested, and up and running, the did an excellent job of cleaning up and left our house in great shape.
We couldn't be happier with the service from Peterman. We made the right choice.

We called with a very unusual request as our toilets were flushing on their own with every shower we took! So this co came out. The first guy ordered a specialist who came out after. He ordered a specialist in clearing the vent for the drains. This guy rose above and beyond with that and when we purchased the membership this cleared my kids sink and tub/shower drain. He then took it a step above to do an extra long in-depth cleaning a scope to assure it was clear! This co staff kept raising the bar in finding issues and showing it to us each step of the way. Owning an old home has been a struggle but this service is effortless and priceless. Grateful we found a company with such thorough and professional employees who never settled! I expressed my concern based on reviews on Facebook and that I was worried I would experience predatory practices or have someone who didn't want to do their job right. This was absolutely not the case. He checked everything and explained everything he was doing. showed me what he found and explained how he tested it. I was involved in the whole process and he answered every question and was very empathetic to our situation. I never felt pressured or uncomfortable. He got everything taken care of same day! I'm very happy he offered me the monthly membership that saves me the 85$ fee on a maintenance check up for my furnace and air conditioner. I even saved money today by getting it! Peterman Brothers is a great. Their customer service is stellar and they are open 24/7 in case of any immediate needs. When we called them, they were very diligent and were able to send someone out to our house within 1-2 days.
When they came to our house, they texted us a picture of the person coming and their name; this was a nice touch and made me feel safe! I also noticed that they always wore shoes covers when coming inside the house. Upon inspecting our home and figuring out our water softener situation, they were very helpful in giving us knowledge about the situation itself in detail.
Due to the way our house was built, they ended up having to install plumbing pipes and a main water shut off valve, along with the water softener. When they were finished, they also left us with salt in our water softener as well to get us started.
Overall great service and business! I enjoy how patient they were with all my questions and concerns. They did a good job explaining the process to me in detail and got the job done. Great experience!

Peterman Brothers proved to be an excellent option for our sewer and plumbing needs. Our project specialist, Sam, was excellent at coordinating all aspects of the project and finding the most affordable options for us as we continued throughout. Coordination included ensuring all work was top notch and managing the various contractors to support the work (e.g. excavation crew, drywall/flooring contractor, etc.). The Peterman teams were also kind and went above and beyond to ensure I knew what was happening and knew they cared. Dave and Melvin on my specific project were particularly great at completing quality work, giving insights, and cleaning the areas they had been to leave the space as close to the original condition as possible. The tech that came, Rob, was great and he did a fantastic job. I wish he could come every time. The reason for my 3 star review is that we have been a customer for several years and it is becoming more and more difficult to schedule appointments for maintenance. It was 10 months between appointments because of no availability. And my overall perception about Peterman is that there is more focus on sales than on the preservation of the current HVAC system. I want to keep my current system in tip top shape for as long as possible that is why we are fanatical about getting maintenance appointments every 6 months.

As a former house manager for over 30 years, I have higher-than-normal experience with vendors and service personnel and because I work in high end homes, I expect excellent consumer service. Often in my job, I am called to choose the provider and set up services. In this case, the homeowner arranged service and I was present to greet the provider and get them situated. As it turns out, the hot water heater was a goner. Leaking and corrosion at the bottom told me what I already knew. The serviceperson, was amazing. He came with shoe covers ready and was polite, friendly and explained things thoroughly so I could present the information to the homeowner over the phone. The homeowner chose to replace with a tankless system and we scheduled for the next day. The following day, Josh T, Brandon C, Mike W and Daniel T arrived for the big production. This was a challenging job. They covered the carpeting and were respectful of the property and finishes. After realizing the 75 gallon tanks from a basement area would not fit through the door on a dolly, they called the boss who promptly showed up and helped lift them over the trim work and get them out without one scratch to the home. Not an easy job! The crew was there all day and left shortly after 5. Brandon stayed behind to walk through the new equipment maintenance and instructions and ensure everything was satisfactory before having me sign off. I recommend Peterman Brothers for any of your HVAC, electrical or plumbing needs and will recommend them to future clients and colleagues.

Josh- our plumber was awesome and knowledgeable. We called the night before and he came to fix our broken garbage disposal first thing the following morning. The membership made his visit and the fix super affordable.
He asked if I had time after fixing the garbage for him to stay and do a maintenance check on our home’s plumbing; as a part of the membership package we pay for. From his check, he was able to spot and confirm a lot of areas in our 20 year old home that we had suspected were in need of replacing.
He was respectful and incredibly patient to answer all my questions in detail. I know more than I ever did about how our water pressure and plumbing works- but I feel very confident in the information he presented to us. 100% would recommend. I will be specifically I asking for Josh if we call Peterman for plumbing.

Long story, but I’ll do my best to capture it.
I’ve lived in my home for nearly 7 years and have had recurring issues with the main sewer line—mostly affecting toilets and tubs—causing backups. Oddly, this usually happens once or twice a year, and always after heavy rain (like the one we had 4/3–4/5).
When I returned from vacation on 4/12, things weren’t working right. While we already have a plumber, I felt it might be time to get a second opinion. I requested an appointment on Sunday, and Peterman responded quickly—someone was out on Monday but couldn’t replicate the issue.
On Tuesday, another tech came to run a camera down the main line but couldn’t get it in due to fluid in the line. By Wednesday, the line was cleared with a machine, and the camera was finally able to inspect. This time, the tech said the line looked sound—it just needed to be cleaned out with a hydrojet due to the age of the home.
Every person I interacted with at Peterman was professional, communicative, and helpful. They responded promptly, gave clear updates about arrival times, and the techs explained everything thoroughly with helpful visuals and photos.
If I had to call out one person, I would call out Evan for making things happen.
Overall, a great experience.

4-15-2025 - We called the 13th due to a leaking pipe under the house. Joshua came out yesterday and helped us find the problem and came up with a solution! He was very helpful and explained everything. Today Stephen and a couple more came out and put in a new tub and all new pipes. We have had them out a dozen times since we purchased our house. Mostly for annual checks and a few more when our furnace went out. (It went out on a Sunday, they were here within a couple of hours and we had a new one by Tuesday) We purchased a brand new furnace and air conditioning unit from them as well as got a duct cleaning. Every member we have interacted with has been informative, polite and respectful. Any questions we had they were happy to answer. They gave detailed information on what they were doing and how everything was working. When we were on a time crunch they did their best to have things finished so we could get to work. I was hesitant to work with Peterman because I generally think any company with that much advertising is ripping you off. However, we have had nothing but good experiences with this company and their professionals. They are not the cheapest option but they are fast, communicative, straight forward and really take care of the customer service. For example, both times we used them this year they handled contacting the parts company to get the parts sent under warranty. Other companies told me to call the parts company. A small thing but makes life easier when I already have problems on my hands like ice cold showers or no AC! You do pay more but the service is worth it in my opinion. I don't feel ripped off and I trust them!

They setup an advanced, efficient system and removed our broken one with precision and speed the day after I called. Everything is clean as a whistle and running smoothly. Also, the same day I called, Cody came out, thoroughly examined our old, broken system, pinpointed the issues complete with photos and gave us an honest, straightforward explanation of the problems. Our Air Conditioner was over 20 years old. After doing research on several companies, we decided to go with Peterman. I met with several employees of them and was impressed with all of them. They educated me about a replacement system. They explained what I could expect from the company and they lived up to all expectations I had. They were very responsive. My previous service provider was getting to a point where I could not get a quote from them. I definitely recommend you have Peterman give you a quote. They probably won't be the cheapest quote. Efficient, friendly service. I don't like the "all day" system of appointment booking but it's hard to find the time window system any more. Everything is explained, with photos as evidence, and an invoice generated for estimated repairs. Note that customer-supplied parts (e.g. filters for furnace and humidifier) will cost significantly less, as Peterman will add a hefty markup.

I received a text msg confirming arrival time. Braden was punctual, professional and polite. Braden listened to my concerns. He inspected the crawl space and located the leak. I was given 5 different estimates(from a bandaid to an over haul). After making my decision, Braden advised that the parts would be here shortly - which they were. He tested all the pipes to ensure proper repair and further checked interior faucets and drains. Clean up was perfect. Very pleased with the job. Our air conditioning went out yesterday and the house was miserable. Yesterday morning, I called a few companies, and they were the only one that were able to come out the same day. I knew that we were getting ready to enter a period of a major heat wave, and we needed to know what was going on ASAP.
We were told that they would be there at some point that day, and would call us before the technician came. We got a call about 45 min before that he was on the way.
Patrick was awesome. He find the problem right away and gave us a couple of options on how to fix the problem. He was professional, courteous, and the best part, our house is cool again! We definitely recommend.

Ryan did our Spring A/C maintenance per our maintenance contract. Very thorough. He pointed out potential problems with evidence to support his findings. The approach that Peterman Bros. takes to support our maintenance agreement is very useful. They are thorough in checking for potential problems providing proof or support for their determinations. I appreciate the care and attention given by the service techs (Ryan, today). We had Ryan do additional preventive maintenance repairs based on his findings. Nominal cost additions, and from my electronics experience, well worth it. Glad you inspected and identified the potential problem.
Kaiden was knowledgeable and thorough. The job was done quickly and left no trace of repair. We appreciate the job he did.

I woke up a few days again to a gurgling sound in my toilet as I was taking a shower. I didn't think much of it, thought it was a clogged drain from hair, I have long curly hair.
Come to find out my sewer is clogged. I called on Sunday. My mom swears by this company. Someone could have come out but I waited until Monday morning. The gentleman were very nice. Educated me along the way and made sure I understood what was happening and why they were doing what they were doing. I've got roots in the line and old clay pipes going out to the sewer line.
I was offered a great deal with good financing. They will be starting work within 48 hours.
Thank god for Petermans. It feels good to have a company you can trust that's honest and explains how things work. Best of all, they do it all: Air conditioning, plumbing, electric, HVAC, water heater.
This could have been a bad day but I feel relieved.

They put in the new one in, adjusted the hole and got it hooked pretty quick. Pricing wasn’t too bad. Having their service plan and getting a discount helped. Obviously having their service plan I will definitely do business with them again. Seeing their advertisement at the Indy Fuel Games is what put them on our radar.

The tech gets 6 stars out of 5, and the scheduling and dispatch managers and employees get zero stars. So Peterman is still the winner at 4 out of 5 stars. The techs that have come out for hvac maintenance for me have been nothing short of stellar every time. Tyler from Muncie was in Fort Wayne for a meeting and serviced my system after the meeting, and it was great to meet him. He does quality work, cares about the customer, and loves what he does. There's something about owning a home that causes you to have an immense fear that the sound you just heard is actually a massive money pit opening up. Peterman has brought us some piece of mind though and we love working with them. We had them come to check out our AC and the team was prompt, super nice, and took great care of us. I have been really impressed with their commutation which makes booking them to come out and follow-up near seamless. We opted for a yearly plan with them so that we can keep on top of things throughout the year. Wouldn't go to anyone else!

Tech was friendly and knowledgeable. Was able to track down bad wiring and replace it all in the same day. Had my HVAC up and running again. Only complaint would be on the company not tech and that is I was under the impression that if I did the work the Diagnostic fee is rolled into that. I instead had to pay diagnostics fee of $85 plus cost of repairs. This was miss leading information I had received from online. All in all great experience and will use them again
