Alec came out to my place for a 2-day job and despite one of those days being outside in the blazing heat, and the other full day in my horribly messy basement (!), he was constantly upbeat and incredibly friendly.
He stayed late the first day to wait for me to get home to make sure I understood what had been done and what to prepare for, and he stayed late the second day to verify all of his work and again to walk me through the project.

I had a service done by Peterman Brothers on my water heater recently. I am impressed by the honest customer service and hard work offered by two technicians, Gavin and Christopher at Peterman Brothers in Bloomington. I had a bad high limit switch on my 6 year old AO Smith water heater that stopped working over the weekend. The gas valve on the water heater gave out a code for a bad pressure switch instead. To make a long story short, Gavin had to replace a pressure switch and a vapor sensor while he had to spend several hours figuring out the source of the issue on my water heater. Another technician, Christopher joined Gavin and was able to pinpoint issue on the high limit switch through his 15 years of experience. The two gentlemen had to work hard on a warm humid day in my garage to resolve the issue and more impressively, Gavin decided not to charge me for additional time he had to spend and two extra parts he had to replace before he was able to fix the high limit switch. It is hard to find a good reliable contractors these days and I highly recommend these two gentlemen at the Peterman Brothers in Bloomington, IN.

We have used Petermann Brothers for a number of years. They always give great service, and have very friendly servicemen. We had them come to clear a clog in our drain, and also to replace our garbage disposal. The person who came to do the work was very friendly, respected our home, and was great with our dog. The price for any of this kind of work is always very high, but theirs doesn't seem as bad as many. I am happy with the work that they did, for the price that they charged. And it's always nice that when they come to do the work

The service techs worked their tails off to get our AC back on after a lightning strike. Hot attic conditions and they kept going. I called Peterman Bros when my drain in my garage clogged up. They were able to get me an appointment the next day. They ended up calling within an hour and scheduling me same day service. Alec showed up and was able to try to clear the clog, but found that the trap was busted and collapsed. He explained everything thoroughly and gave several options of varying pricing. Donell and Lexxis spent 2 full days at our home, removing old and installing new hose bib, well pump/pressure valve, water heater and water softening system. We are so pleased with the results! We have been struggling with another water softener provider not being able to address the issues of our country well water, but Donell and Lexxis were able to figure it out on the first try and we're FINALLY happy with our water quality! They even labeled all of our pipes! They were extremely professional and personable throughout their time here, answered all of our questions, and we will be happy to have either/both of them back for regular maintenance checks. As a bonus, we feel like Peterman Bros was economically priced, as well - especially considering all of the work they did in our home. Highly recommend.

Ryan came by to make a plan of attack on fixing my smoke/monoxide detectors and work on some fixtures and plugs.

Efficient, friendly service. I don't like the "all day" system of appointment booking but it's hard to find the time window system any more. Everything is explained, with photos as evidence, and an invoice generated for estimated repairs. Note that customer-supplied parts (e.g. filters for furnace and humidifier) will cost significantly less, as Peterman will add a hefty markup.

There's something about owning a home that causes you to have an immense fear that the sound you just heard is actually a massive money pit opening up. Peterman has brought us some piece of mind though and we love working with them. We had them come to check out our AC and the team was prompt, super nice, and took great care of us. I have been really impressed with their commutation which makes booking them to come out and follow-up near seamless. We opted for a yearly plan with them so that we can keep on top of things throughout the year. Wouldn't go to anyone else!

As a former house manager for over 30 years, I have higher-than-normal experience with vendors and service personnel and because I work in high end homes, I expect excellent consumer service. Often in my job, I am called to choose the provider and set up services. In this case, the homeowner arranged service and I was present to greet the provider and get them situated. As it turns out, the hot water heater was a goner. Leaking and corrosion at the bottom told me what I already knew. The serviceperson, was amazing. He came with shoe covers ready and was polite, friendly and explained things thoroughly so I could present the information to the homeowner over the phone. The homeowner chose to replace with a tankless system and we scheduled for the next day. The following day, Josh T, Brandon C, Mike W and Daniel T arrived for the big production. This was a challenging job. They covered the carpeting and were respectful of the property and finishes. After realizing the 75 gallon tanks from a basement area would not fit through the door on a dolly, they called the boss who promptly showed up and helped lift them over the trim work and get them out without one scratch to the home. Not an easy job! The crew was there all day and left shortly after 5. Brandon stayed behind to walk through the new equipment maintenance and instructions and ensure everything was satisfactory before having me sign off. I recommend Peterman Brothers for any of your HVAC, electrical or plumbing needs and will recommend them to future clients and colleagues.

I was hesitant to work with Peterman because I generally think any company with that much advertising is ripping you off. However, we have had nothing but good experiences with this company and their professionals. They are not the cheapest option but they are fast, communicative, straight forward and really take care of the customer service. For example, both times we used them this year they handled contacting the parts company to get the parts sent under warranty. Other companies told me to call the parts company. A small thing but makes life easier when I already have problems on my hands like ice cold showers or no AC! You do pay more but the service is worth it in my opinion. I don't feel ripped off and I trust them!

Peterman Brothers is a great. Their customer service is stellar and they are open 24/7 in case of any immediate needs. When we called them, they were very diligent and were able to send someone out to our house within 1-2 days.
When they came to our house, they texted us a picture of the person coming and their name; this was a nice touch and made me feel safe! I also noticed that they always wore shoes covers when coming inside the house. Upon inspecting our home and figuring out our water softener situation, they were very helpful in giving us knowledge about the situation itself in detail.
Due to the way our house was built, they ended up having to install plumbing pipes and a main water shut off valve, along with the water softener. When they were finished, they also left us with salt in our water softener as well to get us started.
Overall great service and business! I enjoy how patient they were with all my questions and concerns. They did a good job explaining the process to me in detail and got the job done. Great experience!

Our air conditioning went out yesterday and the house was miserable. Yesterday morning, I called a few companies, and they were the only one that were able to come out the same day. I knew that we were getting ready to enter a period of a major heat wave, and we needed to know what was going on ASAP.

Sometimes, when you're making a major purchase/repair, it's almost like throwing a dart at a dartboard and hoping it hits the right place :)
We checked several places, and all the prices on new furnaces were pretty similar. Some a few bucks more, some a few less, but all right in the ballpark.
We chose Peterman based on the salesperson who visited our house to give us the price. He was friendly and professional, and never made us feel pressured to buy. He simply laid out our options/prices, and basically said "If you need, us, call us". We appreciated that he didn't pressure us to make an on the spot decision for something that would cost several thousand dollars.
Installation day--our installers, Justin and Daniel arrived on time and got right to work. We have an older house, and they ran into a couple of snags, but handled it like true pros. They were friendly yet professional, and kept us appraised of their progress throughout the day.
Once the furnace was installed, tested, and up and running, the did an excellent job of cleaning up and left our house in great shape.
We couldn't be happier with the service from Peterman. We made the right choice.

Had a flex appointment for Thursday and was surprised when I got a call at 10AM that tech would be at my home in 30 minutes. He arrived earlier and asked for info about my A/C problem. After checking thermostat, he went out to heat pump and checked the capacitor and found that it wasn't operating. He replaced the capacitor and checked the overall operation of the unit. The A/C was operating properly. Within 45 minutes of arriving, everything was running and house was starting to cool down. Brandyn was very polite and professional. Work was done timely. The installation crew didn't check to make sure they had connected power correctly. The furnace went out less than 30 minutes after it was installed, and that is when Peterman got extremely problematic - not wanting to send people out for multiple days, initially saying that nobody could come out for 4 days. Once they agreed to send someone the second day (after arguing with me for 45+ minutes) they then cancelled without telling me, and acted confused when I called and was upset that nobody showed up to the appointment.
My youngest son woke me up worried about how cold his bedroom got, and there was nothing I could do except give him extra blankets, because Peterman brothers couldn't be bothered to fix their mistake in a reasonable time frame.

Jermey in Sales in Lafayette In sales really came through for my mother and I today. He came to our house 3 weeks ago tried all the financing companies that they had and unfortunately, my mother’s credit has zero credit two point that nobody would give her a loan. Called Peterman Brothers to look at water heater. Thought it was a bad thermocouple. Technician Jacob S. Came and listened to my thoughts on the issue then did diagnose to determine it was a bad thermocouple. He explained options and I chose to replace just the TC. He quickly replaced the unit and the water heater was functioning again. I was impressed with how quickly Peterman Brothers were able to get someone to our house in a matter of hours. I was very impressed with Jacob S. He was very professional and kept us informed thru the whole process! We will request him if we need Peterman's again.

The technician that came to my house for the repair was friendly and knowledgeable. We first went over my electrical system and moved on to the specific problem. There were options to the repair, and he informed me of the pluses and minuses of each. I chose the one that took less time and material, but still confident that it was a good fix. After the repair the circuit was tested and everything was back to operation. If I need electrical services in the future, I will call Peterman and request ******.
